Product Description

Anna Nolan is walking her dog outside her small home town one night when she discovers a body. And not just any body – her ex-husband, Jack. Suddenly, Anna is the police’s favorite suspect, and even if the investigating officer is tall, blond, handsome, and has a cute British accent, she doesn’t relish the attention. Trying to divert suspicion away from herself, Anna investigates the three different women her actor-husband had been romancing on a local movie set. But she’d better be careful; one of them could be a killer.”

“Originally published as Road Kill.

“The writer puts you right there in the action with acutely described scenes that flow off her pen and capture your imagination straight away. . . . Anna is the Police’s main suspect which gives her very little time to find the real killer. And boy howdy how she goes about it and the fun and the fear mixed together make for a true “chiller thriller” that I couldn’t put down!” ‒ Mysterynet.com

“I seldom give five stars for a book but in this case I don’t have another possibility. It’s an absolutely brilliant story.” ‒ Ameise

I was pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly entertained by C. M. Spencer’s new book. The author combines all of the elements of a good cozy — a puzzling murder, a plucky protagonist, interesting secondary characters, worthy suspects, capable law enforcement, a touch of romance, and just the right amount of red herrings — to keep the reader completely engrossed while the crime is unraveled to reveal whodunit, why, when, and where. …

I particularly liked the way the author developed the storyline as one then another and another character become suspects, then are seemingly absolved of the crime yet when the circumstances change, become suspects again. At least in Anna’s opinion if not in the opinion of the authorities.

Ms. Spencer has a breezy writing style. Framed for Murder is a fast, entertaining read that will delight readers and have them begging for more! Cherie Chung
